Red Sox Owners Pitch Office/Retail Project Next to Fenway Park

The Fenway Sports Group, owner of the Red Sox, has introduced renderings for a proposed office/retail building at 55 Lansdowne St., between Fenway Park and the Mass Pike. The project, in partnership with WS Development, could launch construction in 2026, pending approvals.

The project would include a seven-story, 129-foot building containing up to 250,000 square feet and an underground parking garage for 130 cars, reported the Boston Globe. It’s part of the Fenway Corners Project, a mix of eight buildings comprising office, research and development, commercial, residential, restaurant and retail spaces alongside Fenway Park.

“While a formal agreement is still in progress, the current plan is for the building to serve primarily as the future home of the Red Sox and Fenway Sports Group’s main offices, who are expected to occupy the majority of the space,” a Fenway Corners spokesperson told the Boston Globe.
