Red Oak Adds Senior Underwriter in Irvine

Decades of commercial real estate experience is being added to the talent pool at Red Oak Financial’s Irvine office.

J. Murray Wilson’s new title of senior commercial real estate loan underwriter encompasses his 35-year career as an underwriter, loan originator, mortgage broker, and commercial real estate agent.

Wilson will wear many qualified hats in his new role, but primarily Wilson will focus on performing national research/underwriting on CRE loan opportunities, analyzing financial statements, rent rolls, operating statements and other related information for the valuation and viability of loan requests.

“Joining a dynamic national lending group with an experienced team of professionals such as Red Oak has been a long-term goal and I plan to become an integral part of their growth and success,” Wilson said in a news release.

Wilson earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, Calif. (Go Powercats!)

Careerwise, Wilson previously served as a commercial mortgage underwriter and broker at Westworld Capital, where he focused on commercial and multifamily loan originations underwriting, credit reviews, asset management, asset valuations, and risk assessments for advisory firms and financial institutions.
