Record Price of $1K-SF for 6519 and 6523 18th Ave.

An investor paid $9 million for two commercial buildings at 6519 and 6523 18th Ave. in the Bensonhurst neighborhood of Brooklyn. That works out to a record-breaking price of $1,118-per-square-foot for the buildings, which together total 8,070 square feet.

“6519 and 6523 18th Ave. presented the buyer with an exceptional opportunity to invest in one of South Brooklyn’s most sought-after retail destinations,” said Jeffrey Shalom, executive director for Cushman & Wakefield, who with Caroline Hodes and Stephen Vorvolakos represented both the seller and the buyer in the transaction.

The two buildings are each two-stories high. The corner retail space is anchored by Capital One Bank through a 15-year lease. The rest of the building will be delivered vacant shortly after closing.
