Reclaimed Furniture Maker to Open First Downtown Detroit Showroom

Detroit’s Woodward Throwbacks will open its first showroom in Downtown Detroit, Throwbacks Home, at Bedrock’s 35 W Grand River Ave. The 1,500-square-foot showroom will feature one-of-a-kind furniture made in Detroit from reclaimed and recycled materials and carry a curated selection of designer homewares and furnishings.

Bo Shepherd and Kyle Dubay, the founders of Woodward Throwbacks and now Throwbacks Home, have been featured for their work by brands and publications throughout the country including Architectural Digest, Google and Carhartt. They’ve long wanted a showroom in Downtown Detroit.

“Throwbacks Home will be a significant addition to Downtown Detroit’s eclectic retail scene,” said Ivy Greaner, Bedrock’s COO. “Bo and Kyle have created an adored brand that utilizes reclaimed Detroit materials which speaks to the vibrancy and resilience of both their products and our city. As the first showroom of its kind Downtown, we cannot think of a better duo to make it happen.”
