REBNY’s Most Ingenious Deals of 2016
April 6, 2017
The Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) has chosen the Most Ingenious Deal of 2016. Here it is:
The National Hockey League’s (NHL’s) new headquarters at Brookfield’s One Manhattan West will include a plaza with an NHL-emblazoned public ice rink and an experiential NHL retail presence at the center of the rink with a private observatory deck overlooking the ice — along with 160,000-square-feet of class-A office space to be delivered in 2020.
That deal won the REBNY’s Henry Hart Rice Achievement Award for CBRE’s Michael Laginestra and Michael Geoghegan. REBNY’s Sales Brokers Committee announced the winners at its annual cocktail party, held this year at Club 101 in Midtown Manhattan.
Two other deals also won prizes for David Carlos and Ira Schuman, of Savills Studley, Inc., and Scott A. Singer and Kathleen McSharry, of The Singer & Bassuk Organization.
