RD Management, LLC, has completed its $65-million Hub Tampa, a 359-unit University of South Florida off-campus housing project, just in time for the start of the semester.

The property has amenities such as a health and wellness center, a rooftop pool, study/ work center and activities and events area. It is located within the confines of the former University Mall, now known RITHM (Research, Innovation, Technology, Habitat and Medicine).

After seven years of planning and predevelopment, the approximately 113-acre property has been fully reassembled under one ownership group and rezoned, master planned and approved for 7.25 million square feet of walkable, multi-story, mixed-use development.

Construction has already begun just west of the demolition site on a new 23,128-square-foot Sprouts Farmers Market and will follow with a new, approximately 49,912-square-foot Burlington Department Store. A third building of approximately 30,000 square feet will sit where bulk of the department store site is coming down.
