Ranking California’s Most Expensive Office Markets
A comparison of five major markets across California reveals a number of interesting findings. Research by JLL finds that San Francisco has the highest average monthly office rates at $6.31 per square foot for Class A space.
The next most expensive market for Class A office rents was the Silicon Valley, which averaged $4.25 per month. Los Angeles Class A space recorded average monthly office rents of $3.44, while San Diego came in at $3.19 per month.
Although rents of the Orange County Class A office and industrial markets have increased 42.5% and 41.5% respectively since the market trough, business owners will find Orange County to be more affordable than other California markets, coming in at $3.02 per square foot.
