Rancho Santa Fe Mixed-Use Commences Construction
San Diego-based Newport Pacific Inc. is starting construction on the residential component of Palma de la Reina, a $40-million mixed-use complex in Rancho Santa Fe, CA. The developer selected Del Mar, CA-based Davidson Builders to build the 54 luxury apartments, expected to be completed by the end of the year.
The retail and office components of the project kicked off last year at the entrance to the Whispering Palms residential community, which was designed in the 1980’s by architect Jon Ebert. His plan for Palma de la Reina apartment phase includes two-bedroom units, roughly 1,000 square feet in size, a pool, spa and water-smart landscaping.
Palma de la Reina is the final element in the Whispering Palms master plan, created by Newport Pacific in 1962.
