PruittHealth is redoing and expanding The Oaks at Whitaker Glen – Mayview, an independent living and skilled nursing facility on Whitaker Mill Road near High Park Bar and Grill. The redevelopment is expected to cost $385 million and include 340 units and beds and the renovation of 93 current units. It will also include a pharmacy, coffee shop, sports bar and fine dining restaurant.

The Triangle Business Journal reports the revamped development will have additional independent living units, assisted living units and a skilled nursing facility. The company expects to break ground by spring 2024. Full buildout of the multi-phase development will take about two years. The renovations for the existing units are underway and almost complete.

The community will have several amenities such as a billiards and card room, theater, spine wellness service, swimming pool, pickleball and bocce courts, putting green, golf simulator and nature trails.
