Raising Cane’s to Open New Chinatown Restaurant in D.C

Raising Cane’s is planning a Chinatown location as the chain continues to expand its footprint in the region.

The fast-food chain has inked a deal for the former La Tasca space at 722 Seventh St. NW, reported the Washington Business Journal. The location is slated to open in fall 2025. Raising Cane’s opened its first D.C. location inside Union Station in January, adding to a larger portfolio of local spots, including Falls Church, Forestville, Bowie, Manassas and Sterling.

The company is also planning other area locations, including College Park, Stafford, and, just outside the D.C. metro area, in Frederick. Baton Rouge, Louisiana-based Raising Cane’s announced plans earlier this year to open more than 90 new restaurants by the end of 2024.
