
Radford Studio Center Announces $1B Modernization Plan
Radford Studio Center, the nearly century-old production facility in Studio City, CA, has announced a comprehensive framework to modernize the property with an estimated $1 billion investment in new facilities , sustainability measures, historic preservation and upgraded multi-modal transportation infrastructure. Owned by an affiliate of Hackman Capital Partners and operated in partnership with The MBS Group, the new Radford Studio Center will add $5.5 billion annually in economic output and support over 8,000 jobs.
The studio has a rich history as the home to many beloved films and TV shows, including “The Mary Tyler Moore Show”, “Gilligan’s Island” and “Seinfeld” and remains the current home to CBS News’ Los Angeles bureau, KCAL News and Entertainment Tonight.
The Radford Studio Center Plan includes the capacity to accommodate up to 25 purpose-built sound stages, general office space, a robust transportation demand management program, an all-electric studio, enchanted public realm and pedestrian experience and the preservation of historic portions of the facility.
