RADCO Obtains $53M Refi on Atlanta Hotel

Newmark arranged a $53 million refinancing for The American Hotel Atlanta Downtown, a 315-key hospitality asset located in Downtown Atlanta. The financing was provided by Structured Hotel Capital on behalf of the owner and sponsor RADCO Companies. Newmark’s Chris Kramer, Tyler Dumon and Tate Keir arranged the financing.

Originally opened in 1962 as Atlanta’s first integrated downtown hotel, The American Hotel Atlanta Downtown recently completed a comprehensive $11.3 million renovation, modernizing guestrooms, public spaces, food-and-beverage offerings and guest amenities. The property is affiliated with Hilton’s Tapestry Collection and features 315 guestrooms, approximately 13,300 square feet of meeting and event space, multiple food-and-beverage venues, an outdoor pool and fitness center.

Located at 160 Ted Turner Drive NW within Atlanta’s Fairlie District, the hotel benefits from immediate proximity to the Georgia World Congress Center, Centennial Olympic Park, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, State Farm Arena and the Georgia Aquarium.
