Rackspace to Acquire TriCore Solutions

San Antonio-based cloud host Rackspace Hosting Inc. is expected to acquire Massachusetts-based TriCore Solutions, a technology company that offers managed services for enterprise applications.

While TriCore Solutions’ more than 500 employees are not scheduled to relocate to the San Antonio metro, the acquisition could influence area growth.

“Our customers are asking us to move further up the stack by expanding our managed application capabilities,” Rackspace’s Jeff Cotten said.

TriCore’s customer base includes Kelly-Moore Paints and fast-food chain Arby’s.
