R.D. Olson Begins Work on Ontario Multifamily Project

General contracting firm R.D. Olson has broken ground on Phase 2 of Emporia Place, a 50-unit affordable multifamily complex in Ontario, CA. Developed by Related California, the $18 million, 60,000-square-foot project will feature two- and three-story buildings consisting of one-, two- and three-bedroom units.

“This is our fifth affordable housing project with Related California, and we are happy to bring this second phase of the property to life,” said R.D. Olson President Bill Wilhelm. “Related California has a long-standing track record of successful development and are great partners in our work building affordable housing to improve communities.”

Located at 310 W. Emporia, the development will offer a Tot Lot children’s playground, outdoor pool and community center. In addition, infrastructure improvements will include underground utilities, added streetlights and new sidewalks. Exterior details feature various facade finishes, ornate iron fencing and gates with artwork paneling.
