Gas and convenience retailer QuikTrip will be setting up shop in Central and South Texas. Specifically, the Tulsa, OK-headquartered retailer is planning to open 100 new locations throughout San Antonio and Austin by summer 2018.

The company has had locations throughout North Texas since 1999, currently operates 134 stores throughout Texas, and is in more than 750 locations across 11 states.

“We’ve had great success in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, and when we look at San Antonio, we see it’s a hot, growing community,” Mike Thornbrugh, QuikTrip’s Manager of Public and Governmental Affairs, told the San Antonio Business Journal.

QuikTrip will be directly competing against CST Brands Corner Stores, which are also in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc. recently acquired the San Antonio-based CST Brands.
