Quarters Plans Second Co-Living Location in Philly

Co-living provider Quarters unveiled plans for its second Philadelphia location. The 113,700-square-foot, 239-bedroom ground-up development will be located at 1201 Callowhill St.

The owner and developer of the Philadelphia site, Richard Zeghibe—founder of Patriot Parking—expects to break ground on the building in Q2 and plans to complete construction in Q4 2021.

“We made our foray into Philadelphia in May 2019 at 1150 North American St., which will open in the second quarter of 2020,” said Gunther Schmidt, founder and CEO of Quarters. “We’re thrilled to bring an additional 239 bedrooms to the market, to meet the growing demand for flexibility.”

“Callowhill is thriving with creativity, economic growth and cultural institutions, making it well positioned to match Quarters’ unique co-living offering. We provide community and networking while also offering living accommodations at an all-inclusive price often 10-20% less than a standard studio in the neighborhood,” he added.
