Quantum Startup Alice & Bob Opens Boston Office
Alice & Bob, a French fault-tolerant quantum computing startup, has opened a Boston office to spearhead North American business development and accelerate quantum technology advancements.
Blaise Vignon, Alice & Bob’s chief product officer, will head the Boston headquarters as president of Alice & Bob USA. The firm focuses on logical qubits, with their cat qubit architecture expected to be available by 2024. Blaise Vignon, with experience at Microsoft, Criteo, and NVIDIA, is well-suited to lead this expansion. The Boston office, located in Cambridge, will enhance the capabilities of the cat qubit and establish a business presence in key industries.
“Our ‘cat qubits’ have been receiving quite some attention from the American quantum community. So it is time for them to cross the pond,” Vignon said. “We are bringing the cat qubit to North America, and our products will benefit greatly from the rich quantum ecosystem and deep-tech venture capital community here.”
