Qualcomm Claims 143K SF at San Diego’s Sorrento Corporate Center

Sorrento Corporate Center and DFW Sorrento Corporate Center, LLC executed a lease renewal agreement with Qualcomm for the entire Sorrento Corporate Center. The 143,979-square-foot office campus is located on nine acres at 9940 and 9950 Barnes Canyon Rd. in San Diego.

Qualcomm was represented by Kevin Meissner with Cushman & Wakefield. JLL’s Chad Urie, Grant Schoneman, Tim Olson and Nick Psyllos represented the landlord.

Urie says, “We are seeing that San Diego is poised to experience tremendous growth post-pandemic in life sciences, related to 5G technologies and Bay Area technology relocations/expansions. Qualcomm is a great San Diego success story, and it is great to see them growing again as 5G takes flight.”

The property is prominently located in the Western Sorrento Mesa submarket, adjacent to corporate neighbors such as Samsung, Tandem Diabetes, Sony, Dexcom and Nuvasive. The property is walking distance to premier retail, restaurant and hospitality amenities in the area.
