Q2 Ready to Kick Off its First Home Game
Q2 Stadium, the new home of Austin FC, is gearing up for the first home game on June 19 against the San Jose Quakes. The Gensler-designed stadium can host more 20,000 fans.
Q2 features multiple outdoor spaces where fans can hang out including an outdoor amphitheater and stage for live music. On non-game days, the site is open to the community to host events such as concerts, farmer’s markets and pick-up soccer games.
The team training facility, also designed by Gensler and known as St. David’s Performance Center, opened this spring. It is a 29,000 square-foot facility featuring four full-sized fields and one half-sized field including a community field with seating for 1,000 spectators.
