PV Producer to Move HQ to Houston, Build Factory

TMEIC Corporation Americas is relocating its headquarters from Roanake, Virginia to the Houston area in March 2025 and will move forward on a 144,000-square-foot facility to manufacture utility-scale PV inverters. The factory will be in Brookshire, about 40 miles from Houston.

The TMEIC group makes PV inverters and energy storage systems. As of July 2024, over 50 GW of renewable energy systems had been installed worldwide. In North America, TMEIC’s installed base exceeded 28 GW since entering the U.S. market in 2010.

Scheduled to commence operations in October 2024, the new Brookshire facility will be situated near TMEIC’s existing uninterruptible power supply and medium voltage drive manufacturing plant in Katy, Texas. Once operational, it will have the initial capacity to produce 9 GW annually, with future expansion availability based on market demands. A company spokesman says the move will create up to 300 local jobs
