PUMA Establishes New North American HQ in Boston

PUMA North America Inc. plans to consolidate two offices in the Boston area into a new 150,000-square-foot North American headquarters in Somerville, MA in 2021. The 300,000-square-foot transit-oriented development is being built by Federal Realty Investment Trust, and is located at 455 Grand Union Blvd.

“We’re excited to bring together our talented North American employees in Somerville, a diverse, vibrant city that reflects our values and culture, and will allow us to retain and recruit the best talent across our front and back-end operations,” said PUMA North America’s Bob Philion. He notes the sports company intends to grow its workforce at the location by more than 20% to 550 positions.

The HQ will have a 19,000-square-foot roof deck, complete with a recreational area and basketball court. Employees have access to a state-of-the-art fitness center, an on-location kids room, ample bike storage and a 2,300-square-foot balcony.

Cushman & Wakefield’s Michael Joyce represented the tenant, while JLL’s Joe Flaherty advised the landlord.
