Publix Opens 49K-SF Location at Loughman Crossing in Metro Orlando

Florida-based real estate developer Halvorsen Real Estate Corp. has announced the opening of a 49,000-square-foot Publix Supermarket location at Loughman Crossing, a neighborhood retail center in metro Orlando.

The property is located at the intersection of S. Orange Blossom Trail and Ronald Reagan Parkway in eastern Polk County. Publix opened on Oct. 10 at the center. The location is a prototype for the chain and features a drive-through pharmacy. Additional tenants at the 78,200-square-foot center include AT&T, Great Clips, Publix Liquors, Erlyn’s Taxes, and Encore Nails.

“This area has exploded in growth even faster than we anticipated,” said Tim Berg, president of Halvorsen Real Estate Corp. “According to a housing report we recently developed, the current trade area population is now nearly 20,000, with a total of 9,088 homes either recently completed or currently planned.”
