Provender Partners Snags Former 285K-SF Ben E. Keith Co. Facility
A California investor acquired a local facility that once housed activities for beverage distributor Ben E. Keith Co.
Provender Partners, based out of Newport Beach, struck a deal with the Fort Worth-headquartered Ben E. Keith to buy the 285,476-square-foot property at 5505 Kaepa Court on the northeast side of San Antonio.
The asset offers more cooler and freezer space, along with office space, 55 dock doors, and two acres for trailer parking. The buyer invests entirely in food-based, industrial properties, and is marketing its most current buy for lease. Scott Delphey and Matthew Delphey with Food Properties Group, and Charlie Hargis with Endura Advisory Group, are handling marketing and leasing on the 20-acre site, which is served by Union Pacific Railroad.
Ben E. Keith, which had occupied the building since it was built in the early 1990s, left it in early 2019 for a new, 563,000-square-foot distribution center in Selma, TX.
