Proposed Water Park Could Grow Little Elm

A new study focused on an approved 35,000-square-foot indoor water park in Little Elm, TX, indicated that the facility could have a $5 million economic impact. The $11.2-million center, which will be developed at Little Elm Recreation Center at 303 Main St., could, over time, also create 121 jobs.

The study was conducted and released by Hotel and Leisure Advisors, and recently presented at a town council meeting of this growing Dallas-area suburb. Town Manager Matt Mueller also noted that it could attract more interest along the lakefront area, since Little Elm fronts Lewisville Lake. “The water park would give us more tools to recruit amenities like hotels along the lakefront,” he said.

The Town Council tapped C.T. Brannon Corp. to develop the park, though a specific start date has not been released.
