Property Tax Incentive Forwards Related Group’s $180M Mixed-Use in Atlanta
Miami, FL-based Related Group’s mixed-use development Manor Druid Hills has been approved by the Decide DeKalb Board of Directors for a property tax incentive, a crucial funding mechanism for the company’s $180-million project in Atlanta, GA.
Manor Druid Hills will rise at 2601 Briarcliff Road and include 381 apartments (20% available at affordable rates) 55,000 square feet of medical office space, and 140-room hotel with long-term stay suites for families of patients at Children’s Hospital of Atlanta. The project will also include $4.5 million in roadway, sidewalk and greenspace improvements and create 220 temporary construction jobs.
According to Related Group, Manor Druid Hills is designed to serve the needs of local residents and surrounding businesses as well as workforce professionals. And with the hospital nearby, there’s a need for more medical offices and the hotel that will serve patients’ families.
Construction is slated to begin in spring 2023.
