Prominent Cary Parcel On the Market
The Grace Christian School property in Cary is back on the market. The property became available when the school decided to move to Apex. The town then proposed using the land for a recreation center, but voters defeated a bond issue meant to pay for it. The Triangle Business Journal reports the school is hoping to score $15 to 20 million for the site, which is just off Interstate 40. Lee and Associates is listing the Cary property for sale.
It would lease back the property until summer 2027 when it can relocate to its new campus. The site is being marketed as a redevelopment property. A concept site plan shows there could be three buildings with 795 housing units, 41,000 square feet of retail and 1,280 parking spaces in wrapped parking structures.
On the mall site and across the road, Loden Development and Northpond Partners are planning 1,755 residential units, 350 hotel rooms, 935,000 square feet of office space, 550,000 square feet of commercial space and 235,000 square feet of research and lab space.
