Owner of Prominent Buckhead Retail Asset Secures $55M Refi
Despite the constrained lending market, Branch Properties secured a $55 million loan to refinance the 12-acre Peachtree Battle retail center. Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, out of Wisconsin, is the lender and set a maturity date of September 2028.
The Atlanta Business Chronicle spoke with CBRE’s Richard Henry about why Branch was able to secure a loan when others have struggled, “The property sits in the middle of the dense, extremely affluent residential neighborhoods of south Buckhead with great visibility, traffic counts and a coveted Peachtree Road address. This has led to very ‘sticky’ tenants with long tenures and exceptional sales.”
Built before 1990, Peachtree Battle includes a single strip center, a Publix grocery store and a collection of multi-story retail buildings. Totaling 152,951 square feet, the complex is fully leased. Tenants include CAVA, Ace Hardware and upscale restaurant Roshambo.
