Prologis Unveils Plans for Studio Campus at Former Bus Terminal
Bay Area-based Prologis, best known for developing logistics facilities, has announced that it is filing an application with the City of Los Angeles for the redevelopment of the former Greyhound bus terminal at 7th and Alameda. According to Urbanize, the planned development would include 10 sound stages, 291,000 square feet of office and support space, and a parking garage.
The proposed project, named Alameda Crossing, would be designed by Relativity Architects, and would feature a layout wrapped with new street trees and landscaping. The studio campus is the third largest planned along Alameda Street, representing the western border of LA’s Arts District.
“We are excited about the opportunity to redevelop what was the Greyhound Bus Terminal in the Arts District,” said Prologis VP Lauren Achtemeier. “We will work with the city in our plans and engage with the community through the process. We are a long-time member of the LA business community, as we own and operate 17 buildings in the city, resulting in over 1,000 jobs and supporting more than 60 customers.”
