Prologis Acquires 69 acres for 1M-SF Chicagoland Development

Prologis has acquired 69 acres in Minooka, Illinois, where the firm will develop Minooka Exchange, a 1,002,000-square-foot logistics facility.

The single-story, cross-dock building will feature a 40-foot clear height, 290 car parking spaces and a 185-foot truck court. The property’s exterior will include full-height glass entryways and wood accents at each building corner. Located in a major logistics hub, the facility will have convenient access to I-80 via the recently upgraded interchange at Ridge Road and to new retail amenities. The site is adjacent to Canadian National Railway’s Chicago Logistics Hub, now under construction.

“Minooka Exchange will add more than 1 million square feet of modern logistics space to Chicago’s supply-constrained market, providing the capacity local businesses need to operate and grow,” said Josh Bauer, vice president and investment officer. “Advancing a project of this scale reflects the strength of Prologis’ local relationships and development expertise.”
