Project EATS Signs Office Lease at Essex Crossing

Delancey Street Associates announced a new 3,449-square-foot office lease at 175 Delancey Street with Project EATS, an organization transforming rooftops into neighborhood farms across New York. The office will help connect the organization’s locally grown produce with the Lower East Side community.

Founded in 2009 by Linda Goode Bryant, Project EATS addresses food scarcity through art as a catalyst for social change. The organization has operated a rooftop farm at 125 Essex Street since 2019 and has locations in East Harlem, Brownsville, Randall’s Island, and Belmont. The Essex Crossing farm conducts workshops, forums, and offers free Saturday breakfast for seniors living in the community.

The new office is part of Essex Crossing’s mix of retail, cultural, and entertainment tenants, including the upcoming VITAL fitness and rock-climbing gym at 182 Broome Street. Other tenants at 175 Delancey Street include Henry Street Settlement, Grand Street Settlement, NYU Langone Medical Center, and the Chinese-American Planning Council.
