Progress Advances on Mortenson’s 750K-SF North Tower Project

Mortenson is making progress on its 750,000-square-foot North Tower project, part of Providence Swedish’s larger First Hill Campus Transformation Project.

Significant work has been completed on the $800 million tower, which will feature state-of-the-art surgical and interventional suites, expanded emergency services, and acuity-adaptable ICU beds. The 12-story medical tower has over 4,600 tons of structural steel already in place.

Due for completion in April 2027, the highly sustainable North Tower project includes a 31-room emergency department, 24 advanced operating suites, and 72 acuity-adaptable ICU beds. Below-grade parking and support services with support operations and accessibility, with areas designed for public use and future imaging facilities.

Located at 720 Minor Ave, the massive North Tower project is a collaborative effort between Mortenson and Perkins&Will.
