PrizePicks chooses Star Metals for HQ

PrizePicks Betting on New ATL HQ

PrizePicks, the largest daily fantasy sports operator in North America, will move into a new 33,000-square-foot Atlanta Headquarters in the Star Minerals Building at 1055 Howell Rd NW in Midtown Atlanta. The company plans to grow its workforce by 1,000 new jobs over the next seven years and will invest $25 million on the move. 

The company, founded in Atlanta, is hiring software engineers, analysts, marketers and other positions. It currently has more than 500 full-time and 160 part-time employees. 

Sports betting remains illegal in Georgia after legislation to allow it again failed this year. However, PrizePicks and other fantasy sports websites operate in the state, saying they offer games of skill, not chance. Players seek cash prizes by picking athletes and earning points based on how those athletes perform. The company says it has more than 5 million registered users.
