Pritzker Traubert Foundation Unveils $10M Chicago Prize for 2022

The Pritzker Traubert Foundation is launching its second Chicago Prize aimed at entrepreneurs on the city’s South and West Sides. Chicago Prize 2022 will provide $10 million in capital to a collaborative community-led initiative that uses real estate development to produce significant economic impact.

Initiatives should have the catalytic potential to stimulate investments that can improve economic opportunity in and for the community, the foundation said. Chicago Prize 2022 will also invest up to $5 million in planning, capacity-building, and other awards to help more teams move their projects forward.

The Pritzker Traubert Foundation is announcing Chicago Prize 2022 as part of a larger $30-million commitment to community development on the City’s South and West sides over the next five years, and as part of its $100+ million commitment to increase access to opportunity for more Chicagoans.

The Chicago Prize 2022 Application Portal will open on Feb. 15, 2022.
