Principle Constructing Industrial Building for Alvil Trucking
Principle Construction is constructing a second new building for the firm’s returning client, Alvil Trucking. The 22,245 square foot, 24-foot clear-height warehouse at 2450 Millennium Drive in Elgin, Illinois, will be used to maintain and repair the trucking company’s fleet.
“Trucking continues to be an important part of the supply chain as Americans continue to buy items online and expect fast delivery,” says Principle COO Mark Augustyn. “Alvil depends on us to build modern, high-quality warehouses to help them maintain their vehicles.”
Principle’s John Cahill serves as project manager while Matt Frane is the onsite superintendent. Harris Architects is serving as the project architect. Jacob & Hefner is the civil engineer on the project. The new warehouse is being built on a five-acre site with 48 parking spaces, including six docks and two drive-in doors to move trucks in and out of the facility.
