Preston Hollow Capital Provides $34M Construction Loan for Radford University Hotel

Dallas-based independent specialty municipal finance company Preston Hollow Capital has provided $34 million in construction financing for The Highlander, a 124-room, on-campus hotel at Radford University in Radford, VA.

Located at 700 E Main St., The Highlander was built for Radford University’s new hospitality program. The property will include a rooftop restaurant as well as a 4,000-square-foot conference space, which will be utilized to host business conferences and events. The hotel is slated to be completed by 2022.

Preston Hollow Capital provided the financing to Provident Resources Group, the not-for-profit owner of The Highlander. Preston Hollow’s investment includes a $34 million Sustainability Bond. Aimbridge Hospitality will manage the Highlander upon completion.
