Prescient’s Standardized Student Housing Construction
Durham, NC-headquartered CRE developer Prescient recently announced its completion, and opening of, Uncommon Fort Collins. The 120-unit property, owned by CA Student Living, is housing students attending Colorado State University. And, Uncommon Fort Collins is Prescient’s seventh student housing project using Digital Thread.
Digital Thread is Prescient’s proprietary software platform that incorporates standardized, pre-assembled steel posts, trusses and panels. These components are then custom manufactured for various target markets, through the builder’s design software. In the case of Uncommon Fort Collins, the system minimized disruption in the areas surrounding the construction zone. Plus, the project was delivered in the nick of time for Colorado State’s 2017-2018 school year.
“Student move-in dates are non-negotiable, and our system removes many obstacles that can cause on-site delays,” said Satyen Patel, Prescient’s executive chairman. Prescient’s platform technology also helped develop the projects in the table below.
