King Sooper Marketplace coming to Frederick CO

Premium King Soopers to Open in N Denver Suburb

The next King Soopers Marketplace to open in Colorado will be located on the northern edge of the Denver metro area. The Marketplace concept is the grocery chain’s more deluxe model. The large-scale King Soopers Marketplace format sells clothes and home goods in addition to groceries.

The Town of Frederick will be the site for the 123,000-square-foot King Soopers Marketplace store will open at Colorado Boulevard and Highway 52. The King Soopers Marketplace will anchor the Silverstone Marketplace shopping center, which hopes to add approximately 75,000 square feet of additional retail, restaurant, and commercial space. The project, which is a public-private partnership, includes the town of Frederick, the Frederick Urban Renewal Authority, Silverstone Metropolitan District No. 3 and Evergreen Development.

Groundbreaking is anticipated this fall and the store is expected to employ 300 workers.
