The Preiss Co., with help from Crow Holdings Capital, made its second San Antonio acquisition — and third so far this year — buying the 694-bed Luxx student housing property. The Luxx, located at 6023 UTSA Blvd., serves students attending the University of Texas San Antonio. Developer NRP Group of Cleveland, OH sold the property.

The property offers one, two and four bedrooms, and amenities including a swimming pool and swim-up bar, outdoor cabanas, fitness center and private study rooms. The new owner plans to improve the property through upgrades to the clubhouse, exterior lighting and dog park, as well as new computer equipment installation.

Preiss Co.’s Susan Folkemer indicated that the company is on track for a very busy quarter, not to mention strong growth year. “Our pipeline remains full, and we expect to announce additional deals in the coming weeks,” she added.
