Preferred Apartment Communities President Leonard Silverstein Steps Down

Atlanta-based Preferred Apartment Communities (PAC) has announced that President and COO Leonard Silverstein has resigned from his position.

Silverstein will continue to act as a consultant to the Company. Joel Murphy, PAC’s CEO, will assume the President position. Silverstein also resigned as a director of the Company, effective May 7, 2020.

“It has been an amazing experience to have co-founded Preferred Apartment Communities at the time of our IPO in April 2011, and to have helped lead our Company’s significant growth over these past almost 9 years,” said Silverstein. “It has also been gratifying and meaningful to have helped nurture and develop our over 500 associates through this growth trajectory, and to have helped cultivate our Company’s culture of giving back to the community.  I’m truly looking forward to my next opportunity and being able to share these experiences with others,” he added.
