Pre-Leasing Launches at Upscale Rentals in Southport Corridor

Connect Apartments is coming up on June 26th in Los Angeles. Here’s a link to find out more about the conference and to register.

Pre-leasing has gotten underway at Harris Development & Properties’ Southport Gateway, an upscale transit-oriented rental development along Chicago’s Southport Corridor. Lee Harris, president of the development firm bearing his name, built the nine-unit property one block south of a CTA station on land he has owned for more than 30 years.

“The Southport Corridor neighborhood continues to evolve and has become a true destination thanks to its terrific mix of restaurants, retail and entertainment,” said Harris. “Residents at Southport Gateway will have nearly anything they want or need within a radius of just two blocks, not to mention being a quick walk from the L for easy access to downtown and other neighborhoods.”

Bentley Phillips of Spaces Real Estate, the project’s leasing firm, commented, “The property’s boutique size will appeal to renters seeking the quiet intimacy of a small building, yet with all the conveniences of this highly walkable neighborhood.”
