Portman's Dallas Gateway set for take off.

Portman to Move Forward with Dallas Gateway

Portman Holdings will develop Dallas Gateway, an ambitious campus of two residential and one office tower. The buildings will go on five acres at Ross Avenue and Routh Streets, across from the Arts District.

The orginal purchase of the property was funded by a $20 million loan from Bank Ozk. The mixed-use project will rise as high as 50 floors and consist of 850 residential units in a variety of formats, 400,000 square feet of office space and 45,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space. The development will also feature 1,800 parking spaces and generous open space. Construction is set to begin in the second quarter of next year.

Portman Residential currently has new projects in the works in Atlanta, Charlotte, Nashville and other markets.

The developer’s plans for Dallas would build one of the largest new downtown mixed-use projects.
