Portman Strays From Urban Core with Latest Suburban Atlanta Project
Portman closed on the land to develop Meadow Glen Village, a 332-unit mid-rise multifamily community with retail and greenspace in Fairburn, Georgia. Portman will break ground on Meadow Glen Village this month and expects to deliver the project in June 2027.
Portman, known for its infill projects in urban markets, is changing course for this project. Portman’s Harvey Wadsworth explains, “This closing represents our current strategy of quality suburban development, highlighting our team’s ability to react and adapt to market cycles.”
Meadow Glen Village will include a variety of home types across nine buildings, each featuring its own dedicated parking. It will also feature a town green that is intended for public use. Two 6,000-square-foot retail buildings will be dedicated to food and beverage concepts.
Portman’s residential team has developed over 20,000 residential units.
