Portman Breaks Ground on 714K-SF Houston Warehouse Facility

Portman broke ground on Gateway 1960, a three-building, Class-A industrial park encompassing 714,233 square feet in Houston. The project is expected to deliver in Q3 2027. It’s located near George Bush Intercontinental Airport with quick access to Interstate 45.

The park will encompass three buildings: a 440,323-square-foot cross-dock, a 157,723-square-foot front-load and a 116,293-square-foot rear-load building. Each will offer divisible configurations with spec office space, LED lighting and dock-high loading with levelers, so tenants can move in immediately upon delivery.

Portman launched its industrial business line in 2021 and today has 4.5 million square feet developed and 6.4 million square feet under development in key markets, including Boston, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Charleston, Austin and now Houston. Partners is leading marketing and leasing for Gateway 1960 on behalf of Portman.

The Gateway 1960 project team also includes Angler Construction as the general contractor, Powers Brown Architecture as the architect, and Langan as the civil engineer.
