Portland’s ‘Block 216’ Project Moves Forward with Residential Listings

Luxury residential real estate is on the market – intended to push forward new hospitality real estate – in the form of a new Ritz-Carlton hotel in Portland, Ore.

Five residences at the Block 216 tower, via Keller Williams Realty Professionals, are now for sale at prices ranging from $1.7-$7.3 million, according to listings that were pushed live on or around Feb. 18. The Block 216 project is scheduled to be completed around March 2023.

Keller Williams’ agent Sarita Dua is leading the sale of the residences. Back-of-the-envelope math shows the $7.3 million residence listing (4,000 square feet) has a per-square-foot rate of $1,836. The $1.7 million listing is about 1,100 square feet, or $1,480 per square foot.

The development recently added a jeweler to help round out the retail footprint in the building.

“The residential condos provide a unique story of luxury, beauty, and amenities … unlike anything that has ever been available in the Portland market,” Walter Bowen, whose BPM Real Estate Group is developing the tower, said in a news release.
