Port Charlotte Retail Property Trades for $7M

Marcus & Millichap has brokered the $7.1 million sale of Town & Country Plaza, a 55,160-square-foot retail property in Port Charlotte. Jim Shiebler, James Garner and James Medefind of Marcus & Millichap’s Tampa office represented the seller, a limited liability company, in the transaction. The buyer was undisclosed.

Located at 4265 Tamiami Trail, the property is currently occupied by multiple name brand tenants with corporate backed lease guarantees with staggered lease expirations. Additionally, the property is located nearby a Publix supermarket and the recently developed $470 million Sunseeker Resort.

“Through our proven marketing process and blanketed exposure, we built a market and high level of demand for the asset, generated numerous offers and created a true competitive environment,” said Shiebler. “This transactional timeline did not unfold without its challenges, particularly during the inception of the Covid-19 pandemic.”
