Pompano Beach Hotel May Convert to Apartments

An investor recently acquired a Pompano Beach hotel with the intention of redeveloping the property into a multifamily community. Maureen Bokzam paid nearly $5.9 million for the Lighthouse Point Hotel in Pompano Beach.

The South Florida Business Journal reports the city’s Development Review Committee will consider the site plan for the 2.72-acre property at 4211 N. Federal Highway. 61 hotel rooms were built in the 1960s and 1970s.

The developer filed plans to replace the hotel with the Satori at Lighthouse Point. The project would feature 187 apartments and 336 parking spaces. That would include 27 workforce housing units for people making up to 120% of the area’s median income. The apartments would range from 814 to 1,744 square feet.

There would be an amenity deck on the third floor, featuring two pickleball courts, a multipurpose room, a clubhouse, and a barbecue area. There would also be a fitness center on the roof.

Madsen Design in Delray Beach is the architect of the project.
