Pokemon Go’s Wearable Tech is Coming
Pokemon Go announced its newest product to continue promoting the virtual reality game that has swept the nation. The developer, Ninantic Labs, is reportedly launching a wearable device this month called ‘Pokemon Go Plus,’ which will blink when Pokemon are nearby.
The device, which can be worn on one’s wrist or as a pin, will be sold via Amazon and at Gamestop for $35. It’ll connect to the app via Bluetooth Smart, and vibrate and light up when there are Pokemon in the area.
Ninantic’s goal with the new device is to further promote fitness activities. An additional bonus is that it’ll help keep a user safe while playing the game. Rather than looking down at one’s phone, the technology allows the user to remain alert and still catch Pokemon.
