PNW Embarks on a New Period of Growth as a Global Business Center
During this past decade, Seattle landed on the national map, attracting prominent employers and top talent. And now, multifamily investors must carefully analyze the region holistically, deciding where to place bets based on how people will work, live and recreate in this region, says Dylan Simon of Kidder Mathews.
End-of-year apartment market research released by the multifamily investment team of Simon and Jerrid Anderson shows that broad recovery is in sight. The 2021 End-of-Year Apartment Market Dynamics report analyzes current and past trends for rental and vacancy rates and sales across the four major Western Washington counties: King, Pierce, Snohomish and Kitsap.
“Based on current trends, the region is readying for a new decade of growth and emergence as a global business center,” says Simon. “The region quickly recovered from COVID, and recent rental rate growth and sales data support an increasing consensus that the Puget Sound region is one of the strongest economic centers in the nation.”
