PNC Bank Targets New Braunfels for Operations Site

Following an 18-month, multi-state search, PNC Bank selected New Braunfels, TX as the site of its new operations center. The 60,000-square-foot center will be housed in the Parkview Plaza office building, a Class A structure delivered in 2018 by Koontz Corp., and located at 2049 Sundance Pkwy. The build-out for the Pittsburgh, PA-based PNC Bank’s operations center is expected to be completed by winter 2020.

The city’s geographic location — approximately 30 miles north of San Antonio — combined with its qualified and available workforce, climate and business opportunities, sold PNC on the location, according to the New Braunfels Economic Development Corp. (NBEDC).

The NBEDC granted a job-creation, performance-based incentive of $800,000, which will be used to hire hundreds of local employees by the second year. PNC will be required to maintain that level for five years.
