Plaza del Lago in Wilmette to Open 13 New Stores
Plaza del Lago, an open-air shopping destination in the heart of Chicago’s North Shore, is adding thirteen new businesses to the retail center.
Plaza del Lago will welcome fashion brand Oscar de la Renta, SPACE 519, apparel brand James Perse, LoveShackFancy, global lifestyle designer Cynthia Rowley, fashion and home styling brand Hill House Home, men’s luxury retailer Peter Millar, along with several more notable brands. Businesses will begin opening in July 2025.
“These brands intentionally span the spectrum – a mixture of locals and nationals, soft goods and services, at different price points with one common element – they are each best in class,” said Samantha David, President of WS Development.
Plaza del Lago was originally built in the 1920s and is one of the oldest open-air shopping centers in the country. Now under the ownership of mixed-use developer WS Development, Plaza del Lago is being upgraded with building restorations, infrastructure improvements, and the transformation of second-story residential into two-story retail suites.
